Sasha was adorably priceless in this scene, and I like the face of the guy to her right. Nothing says "Oh shit, lady, what are you doing?!" like that face.
I'm not sure if it's just a Southern thing, but some varieties of salted raw potatoes are good eatin'. It's better to cut them first so you don't bruise your gums; they're a little tougher than apples. However when uncooked, they do have enzyme inhibitors and the starch is more difficult to digest. And as you mentioned, green potatoes contain toxic alkaloids and should be strictly avoided.
