Yeah, it's what is being taught nowadays in regards to full-auto/burst/rapid fire shots. Allows the marksman greater control and point of aim. Something like using a pencil, your fingers are near or on the tip to guide it.
That said I'm still a fan of the Mag-well hold, or at least that crook between the foreend and magwell. Which I see she has a grip for such a position on her rifle.
I dunno which is better. MISAKA...or her rifle. They're both drool worthy.
One problem with this loadout; unlike the FN F2000 that Misaka 10032 is seen using in the series (which is a bullpup rifle), I doubt this rifle could be concealed in a Japanese middle-schooler's school bag. This one has a traditional rifle layout with what looks to be a 20-inch barrel, after all.

The F2000 isn't exactly small. In fact, it's quite bulky compared to an AR-15 pattern rifle. Granted, it's not a long. As to concealment, she could simply separate the upper and lower before putting them in her bag. True, she would need to reassemble them before entering combat, but it only takes a few seconds.
Lower Receiver: Logo looks so familiar, but I'm not sure who.
And for the record, those Troy rails absorb heat pretty well. You probably won't burn your hand...
I think the Lower Receiver is from Lauer. For some reason, the picture keeps looking like the barrel length is more than 16" to me, therefore I am a bit skeptical of it being an M4 Carbine. But that's just my over-imagination I guess.

Well, they're also seen hauling what look like Barret .50 cals in their early appearances, so I'm not sure that concealability is a primary concern for them.
This setup, at least, you could break down fairly readily.
