That's because most otaku are male.
Not saying that girls can't be otaku, but most of the female fans are more interested in BL.
I'm one of the only female "moe" fans. And I don't mean just male moe characters. I mean cute girls in costumes.

You have to understand that the swastika does not carry the same social weight in Japan as it does in much of the rest of the world. People wear it and use it as fashion without really linking it with the atrocities committed by Hitler's regime.

The swastika was, after all, a Kanji, long before it was a symbol of gas chambers and war.

There aren't many girls, because yaoi and girly stuff is generally only one of the three days. So they concentrate that day.

That was just an overexaggeration mate; I know the Japanese love to use random symbols and whatever art as decoration. And I know the swastika was originally a religious symbol (still used to mark temples on maps afaik). But the thing is that had I bought such accessories I wouldn't be able to show off with them at home since my country bans any form of nazi propaganda. To the point I could be arrested for these.

And I'm still not coming to Comiket. I rather wait for doujins to appear online than make my way through a mass of sweaty otaku.

No, look at the red border. It was probably the swastika.
