    A couple of questions that I've been wondering about regarding something in this pic:

    (1.) How and why did Pan Am manage to get a hold of a B-70 bomber?
    (2.) How did they manage to modify it to go into space?

    Of course, I'm almost certainly overanalyzing things, but still, I can't help but wonder...(Take this as your cue to let your imagination run wild!)

    Pan Am doesn't exist in the real world anymore, but in the context of this pic the bomber could have been converted into a spaceplane (like the real world Space Shuttle) that looks like the XB-70 but is much different on the inside. What you don't see are the discarded rocket boosters that gave it the kick it needed to get into a stable orbit.
