    Historical Note: During the war Yukikaze was the one who actually sunk Hiei...

    After an engagement Hiei was too damaged to continue so her escort, the Yukikaze, was ordered to scuttled her. Yukikaze sunk Hiei with a torpedo... Which she is holding ; ;

    Yukikaze was one of two Japanese destroyers to survive the war.

    Not 2. I can count at least 5, right now.

    You are correct. Of those commissioned before the war, she was one of "three" to survive along with Ushio and Hibiki. 3 out of 82 pre-war destroyers survived. Although, this number can be significantly increased depending upon one's definition of a destroyer. There are 29 other "minor" vessels which could be loosely classified as destroyers that survived. Nearly all of whom were scrapped by 1948.
