Seeing as it's one of this generation's gimmick pokémon, my money's on it not evolving. Still, I could be wrong.

Not really THAT dissimilar in concept from Nidoran and Volbeat/Illumise, in the end. So I wouldn't be surprised if there are distinct evolutions for them, like with the Nidoran.

It's nidoran all over again...
