I've always been a big fan of these "traditional" pictures of Chinese and Japanese slice-of-life. But interestingly, all these pictures are actually a mix of eastern and western cultural influences.

The photos on the wall with their well-defined figures alongside more-abstract strokes of Chinese art. The western skirt and socks with a Chinese styled top...

It's really interesting to notice these things, since in the west one can hardly find traces of other influences.
