    This is pretty much how things played out IRL:

    Ooshio - hit by torpedo from USS Albacore; Arashio tried to tow her back to Rabaul, but she was too badly damaged.

    Arashio and Asashio - both sunk during the Battle of the Bismarck Sea.

    Michishio - transferred to Desdiv 24; sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait.
