What happened when Compass Girl shows up ?

Gameplay mechanics dictate that you have to spin the compass to determine your route in sortie missions and such and compass girl spins the compass so you can imagine the amount of dread someone would have when she pops up only to FATAL KO! the mess outta you into going the route you didn't want to take...at least that's what I have interpreted from the game itself without playing it.

Yeah, it's one bizarre game mechanic.

You have some of the most advanced warships on the planet, but they can only travel in random directions. lolwut?
