It probably refers to the Ragnarok Online "Warrior", I'd assume. The various RO classes seem to be listed as characters, for whatever reason.

is there even a warrior class in RO? I would think FFXI is closer to the truth.

That's a human eye flare effect, not a lens flare, as you can see from practically every scene in a Shinkai movie. The color is kind of overdone, though.
