Friggin' touhou kids nowadays can't even appreciate old school 8-bit sprites that show very little detail with their 3Derish thingymabob *grumbles & shakes old man cane*

To this day, these games are still awesome.

I find it interesting that Kaguya's looking at the game in wonder, but Patchouli in what appears to be irritation. Too abstract for her to forget about the very existence of the outside world?

Actually, I think they're more confused about the male character.

To be fair, you can hardly tell them from female characters in the latest games from the series...

i think it's more like the resolution is SO ... different from their current HD 3D enhanced textured and rendered characters they can't even understand what it is.

Still, there's the matter of their differing reactions. If you're correct, then it's probably just with regard to Kaguya. Patchouli, meanwhile, KNOWS what it is, and feels like Mokou is insulting her by not giving her the leading-atom technology-utilizing gaming she probably thinks she's entitled to.

(Was it THAT easy for them to forget Touhoumon Red/Green? Or Silver/Gold? Their sprites wouldn't have been that distinct from what we have here...)
