That comment reminded me of a Stargate SG-1 episode where the Jaffa (represented by their best warrior) and the humans (represented by Sgt. Carter) pit the staff weapons and the P90 against each other. The Jaffa gets two shots out of four into a tree, while Carter saws a swinging tree trunk in half with the P90, then shoots the rope for good measure with a single round. The Jaffa were more impressed than they were pissed at the humiliation.
Also, before anyone else points it out: sawing a tree in half requires quite a lot more ammo than an MP5 PDW has available (probably more than the P90, too). However, the rule of funny (or cool) permits it, so it's all right.
