In this story, the Artificial Spirits and obviously, all the Youkai are man-eaters. But, that setting is pretty much just my aspiration by misinterpreting the original work.

Well, that's true, nobody cries in that story. Still, I think Zounose and Asatsuki-Dou would get along perfectly.
That being said, I prefer how he actually handled the cannery part. It's suggested rather than shown, and I think it's better that way.

For the meat factory scene in the middle though, at first I was planning to make it more analog or something, where there's some manual procedures involved.
However, after seeing Nitori's gimmicks and the pipes laid out on the stage background in Hopeless Masquerade, that imagination was crushed and I decided to make it into that gigantic mincing machine.
Rather than seriously having them dissected and gouged out, I thought that will be more "fictionable".
I wonder if it made the situation a little better?
