    The poor discipline Kaga experienced is attributed to the equally poor living conditions her crew had to put up with.

    Structurally-wise, Akagi was just as bad; disease was so rampant on-board that she was nicknamed the "Murderous Longhouse" (人殺し長屋). However her men were better behaved because she had a good cook that could satisfy their needs. In fact in culinary competitions held by the Fleet, Akagi's cooks often came in first.

    Still, when she sank in Midway, her men had grown so tired of living in such dismal conditions that those rescued by Mutsu went on-board with eyes bright with anticipation ^^;;;

    So... when she's being a gluttonous fiend, she's just eating comfort food to wash away the eternal pain of living?

    How nice. The best air division in Japan
    Wow, that's the first carrier division
    So cool. Kaga is fine even when facing the high waves

    What about our hard work?
    But, couldn't we be friendlier?
    Why are you giving an interview? Don't get full of yourself
    While Akagi was under remodeling, Kaga joined her first battle during the Sino-Japan war. Kaga's air wing was the most experienced in Japan.
    All of your achievements are thanks to us
    Kaga is improved after major remodelling. The number of airplanes she carried is number 1 in Japan
    Would the first B-218 kill from the Imperial Armed Forces give a comment? 22 Febuary 1932, the first time Japan shot down an American airplane in aerial combat.
    According to Itakura Mitsuma who used to serve as a flight deck crew member on Kaga, there were many who committed suicide or deserted because of lynching and prosecution. The stealing of white rice that was supposed to be food for the crew had also become public knowledge. Among ships in the Imperial Navy, the discipline on Kaga was especially bad. - from (JP) Wikipedia
