Know that feel.. I miss the Moroccan mint tea, full of sugary goodness.
Personally, I'm spoiled on Darjeeling. People have wondered why I just get the pre-steeped pot tea at Tim Hortons instead of the bagged tea like they expect people that care about tea to get. But really, the bagged tea there isn't going to be substantially different to me than the stuff in the pot... it's all Orange Pekoe at best. And this way I don't have a tea bag to deal with after it's done steeping.
So given the choice of low grade black or matcha, I can understand Remi going with the matcha. It's also quite a bit different from the bancha they mention Reimu putting out. Bancha is second flush low grade full leaf green tea (you infuse it into the water and remove the leaves), but matcha is powdered (meaning you mix the leaf powder into the water, so you get all the nutrients and caffeine from the leaf because you're drinking it).
It tastes better than the tea Reimu prepares.TeaWe'll have two green teas and two kudzu starch noodles each.The black tea here doesn't taste good.Though I like coarse tea too.As usual, you don't mince words.But this tea is tasty.You know how it tastes?That's because Reimu only ever puts out coarse tea for Milady.Doesn't that mean she just doesn't like you?So you drink Japanese tea even though you're a foreign monster.
