Yukikaze... I thought Samidare gave the friendly shot at Hiei, anyway it was full of confusion back there, even Atlanta suffered from friendly fires from San Francisco.

Akatasuki, she was just overwhelmed, that time was full of tension, give this poor kid a break.

Shigure got away with her Guntank before the situation escalates. Akatsuki is just unfortunate enough to get caught by Abukuma as replacement :D

Can't find record about which ship scuttled Hiei when trying to do cross referencing. The closest I got is that it's from her escorts. And I don't think having your student standing as Kaishaku (the person in charge of beheading someone who performed seppuku so they can die quick after protecting their honour) is something to brag about.

What exactly did Ayanami actually do at Savo, besides get buried in 16" shells? From what I've read in her TROM and battle logs, the most she managed to do was lock one of Washington's main turrets in train so she couldn't bring it to bear.

You haven't read the whole story of the second naval battle of Guadalcanal do you? You should also check her entry in the Japanese Wikipedia. The devs will not give her a firepower which almost equal to Yuudachi without any good reason.
