Not that mattered anyways: by the time the partially-converted Ise and Hyuuga got deployed to Leyte Gulf, they were carrying none (thanks to the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot debacle the Japanese reserves of planes and pilots became even more strained).

Technically they could carry bombers, 20 of them in fact. Zuiun were capable of dive-bombing thanks to their dive brakes. Sadly, they never actually got assigned so they kind of wasted the remodelling of two battleships into two hybrid battleships when they could have had two more fleet carriers instead.

Even if they'd had two more fleet carriers, they didn't have the planes or the pilots for them by that point.
