Fuel nodes mainly, 2nd would be the transport ships quests, leech free exp taking avantadge of the high evasion of the subs, some rare drops on boss node, mainly carriers, quite amazing for just one map

My poor subs know this all too well.

2-3 can take care of almost every single daily/weekly sortie quest. It's a popular pick for subs due to their evasion and low repair/resupply costs, making it nearly spammable until your questbook is done for the week.

Look at the bright side, their level are rising.

Aside from 4-2... this is where they friggin' level up like heck.
Now they're all almost at Lv99. Dangit Orel/2-3.

Throw U-511/Ro-500 into the mix now :D

Level 1 - 20 used as 3-2A power leveling meat shields

Level 20+ Used for 3-2A meat shield still but also used for Orel spam after full modernization to MAX (3 submarine at least recommended)

Which is better? Do you Kai them eventually for the extra slots or just full modern their default form for cheaper & faster repair?

Do not remodel your submarines fleet for Orel Cruising and 3-2 A except U-511 and I-168 because they change type to submarine aviation which increase repair time and consumption.

Nah. One way or the other, you'll forced to do it. Since they'll need that other equip slot to fully utilize their torpedo damage against the enemy fleet.

Speaking of SSV, Shoi is already one from the start.

This is why it is good to have multiple copies. I only send the SS types though to Orel. SSVs just go on PvP or expedition #2
