Don't know how to edit notes, but the top left one is wrong: Bundesrepublik Deutschland or Federal Republic of Germany is still very much the official name of the modern Germany.
The official abbreviation today is DE or GER as opposed to BRD or FRG, these were indeed only used as long as the eastern German nation - the Deutsche Demokratische Republik or German Democratic Republic - existed. Which would be abbreviated as DDR or GDR. "West Germany" and "East Germany" were always unofficial names.
The proper, official name of the western German nation from its foundation in 1949 to today has always been Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Congratulations on winning!!!Federal Republic of Germany
Unofficial full name of the modern German state (during the Cold War the name for Western Germany).
