That hat and mask won't hide your philandering from your wife, even if you pretend to be Hakuoro in order to play the amnesiac card.

Looks like a plague doctor mask

I love masks and that there is a traditional Venice mask called Zanni. Venice carnival masks have different origins, some traditional linked with anonymity or professions or, like the Zanni, from a play.
The plague doctor is different from the Zanni as it covers the mouth. The mask comes from the time of the black plague, and people used it as sort of gas mask against the evil miasma (no one knew how the plague was transmitted). The "beak" was actually filled with nice smelling things, like flower and perfume, you know, to keep the miasma out of your face.
