This was always my favourite design for Dante. I like his trenchcoat as much as the next guy, but this outfit reflects the game it was featured in; the much more agile Dante running up walls and rolling around. Plus, I like how mature Dante seems in DMC2. If they'd gotten his personality closer to DMC1 or 3 then I think the game would have been somewhat more well received.

Same here, I've always liked this Dante's design the most. However personality-wise I like the DMC4's Dante more, he's more nonchalant, not so serious even when the situation calls for it, and that makes him a fun character.
