IMO, so far the gist of this manga is that it's imagining foundational rules that never get contradicted. Magic A = Magic A, if you will. Things that very unpredictable are present of course(compass gyaaaaa) and there are 100% random variables/RNG stuff, like the probabilities involved with construction in-game as you mentioned, but every aspect has rules that don't just get broken. Now we know~
