By making bases that IJN had used. I hope they explain that part as well.

Another push is that for every ship, the body only showed up during the first time. After that only their equipments appear.

I think this part is more headcanon-based. When you have multiples of a girl in your fleet, say Fubuki, you actually only have one girl named Fubuki, but she has different sets of equipment that she can change around and use.

    Need check on that panel.
I'm not sure I analyzed the grammar and logic correctly on that one.

Actually all of the things mentioned in this story is headcanon. There's no official explanation for the gameplay mechanic, which made the story interesting because it tried explaining many different rules in the game (such as the dreaded compass)

Too bad the last boss (Error Musume) is not explained :P
Probably a reality that could make people insane just from witnessing her.

I thought this was the comic's way of covering the process of scrapping newly-built duplicate girls for resources in a not-so-grim way, while at the same time still providing an explanation that results in the same outcome (summon girl, wind up with resources instead).

Trying to explain this mechanic the way it happens in the game would be a little weird and more than a little disturbing.

Though if you scrap a ship girl and you only have one copy of her, then…?

Then she goes off to be a normal girl. As I recall, that's the actual canon explanation, and was also referenced in this comic previously.

This only-one-girl headcanon does help with one thing, though. We avoid the terrifying scenario of Tokyo being overrun by an army of laid-off Naka-chans and Isuzus.

The explanation doesn't really work for combined fleets; we can have two of the same shipgirl in a single combined fleet. Also, it seems to contradict with what Akashi said in post 1796160, which I initially thought could explain why there could be many different Naval Bases with the same shipgirls (the spirit of the ships could be split in many different places at any one time).

Having only one of each shipgirl in existence could be troublesome. Imagine if we needed Kasumi again for Operation Rei-go routing; how busy she would be, with so many bases requesting for her presence as flagship.

I think the implication is that they can split shipgirl souls if they place them in different bases.

This purification routine has also become an important daily work Scrap two ship daily quest.
To counter this problem we are also increasing the number of facilities. If the demons used "battlefield" as their vessel, then we will use the same principle
Another push is that for every ship, the body only showed up during the first time. After that only their equipments appear. Limit of one ship name per fleet
Because it seems that regardless of the expansion, there's only a limited number of souls we can set free
After reaching a certain number, we can't summon more shikigami. In order to do so equipment will need to be regularly purified (scrapping) Limit and scraps
Utilizing the remains of "Naval bases" in the past, we set up facilities in various places through splitting of souls like what we did to the ship equipment The locations marked with large black dots in the map roughly corresponds to Yokosuka, Kure, Maizuru, and Sasebo; The first four KanColle servers are named that.
