He stated earlier in a comic with a panel that read "A little bit earlier."
The staggered updates made it harder to remember the relative time though.

What the Japanese call a "side brake" is what English speakers (even most non-native ones) would call a handbrake (or parking brake, or erroneously, emergency brakes).

It's not designed for it, but it works in an emergency. Once, I was a car that was close to a collision; thankfully the front-seat passenger reacted fast enough to pull the hand brake to prevent the collision.

Most use I had out of a Ebreak was on my first beat to hell hand me down car... due to a nearby lot of gravel :D

The reason handbreaks are great for drifting makes them a bit iffy to use in an emergency unless you don't have antilock brakes or your brake pads exist in another dimension.

I recall a comic once joking that it's actually an "emergency make the car smell funny lever" after he accidentally drove quite some distance without realizing it was on in a rental car he was unfamiliar with.

I really can't believe I remembered it was him. I think it's been nearly a decade since he died, and I really liked his style of comedy.
