Are you positive that that's a machine gun? That looks more like an assault rifle to me.

I swear the artist gives zero commentary in order to drive those of us that aren't gun identification experts nuts. Just looking down Wikipedia's bullpups list it looks like a FAMAS, a Type 86S, and a bit of a QBZ-95 had a baby.

But, yes, it isn't a machine gun.

mars_expedition seems to prefer using equipment based on real stuff, but tweaked a good bit to look different (e.g. post #1824670 [SVD], post #1824209 [PPSh-41], post #1565344 [Leclerc]). I remember going through weapon_request a while back and not finding any unchanged real-world firearms I recognized to tag in most of them. (Of course, then there's posts like post #1683611, featuring an all but unmodified Thompson...)

But more relevantly, yes, I'd call it a rifle as well, per OOZ662's updated tags.
