Translation check, done. I really appreciate echo519, LuxLucis and Seika's work. Seika is way better than I am though. You guys saved me time reading guessing the meaning and translate it. But really, there are places I would want to ask you stick closer to what it is. The attitude is important after all, especially when Seiki talks in an informal high class lady tone, Science Ri in respectful tone and Re in playful tone all the time. Not that I'm that great of a translator to set ideals though.
And no, I don't think Re means any harm. That could be something that can tell her if Satsuki is in danger so she could rush over any moments.
Well, personal rating, I'm a third rate translator here who still often make mistakes, have things lost-in-translation and have limited choice of words.
Above that would be translator who do near no-miss and better choice of words, they translate the words accurately.
And first rate translator would be able to adapt cultural aspects of the translation, such as puns, dialects and idioms. In other word, translate between languages and make the necessary changes to send the same idea (and jokes) to speaker of other language. (e.g: Moonspeaker ?)

I appreciate Seika working on the more technical parts of the pages, especially. I was about to hit the dictionary when you swooped in to translate it all. Saves me the effort lol.
I'm not very good at reading the tone of the dialogue, so if anyone catches my translations, please do help me give it a pass since I am pretty darn bad at Japanese.

I think she understands what "friend" means more than any other abyssal ship. It's just the rest of her is going slightly batty.
Considering what Southern Oni said, Re used to be a shipgirl like Satsuki until she was experimented upon, and now is an abyssal hybrid ship, but still has some human sense. Being stuck in a place of creatures of not-quite-human level, and who don't understand friendship, she may just have gone completely stir-crazy, and wants someone to talk to so desperately that she's willing to take desperate measures. "Let's all be friends as abyssal ships" seems to be her plan.
Hence, I'm probably leaning more towards "tracking device", although yandere bomb "never leave me, or else" might happen, too.

the collar is a tracking device, the story will take a turn at some point where Re will threaten the other Abyssal girls that the collar has a bomb and letting Satsuki know that she has a bomb to bluff her way out of a bad situation the collar is not a bomb, Re just remembers a story like that and is bullshitting their way out

Kinda reminds me of the collar in Battle Royale (the manga design, not the movie one). So I'd go for the bomb + tracking device. So that re can always go back to her beloved "friend" and find her if they get separated. As for the bomb, I dunno. Might be a disarmed one for bluff purposes, or a real one to go for the Yandere route, both being used when everything seems to go out of control (be it with the Abyssal or the naval base trying to take Satsuki from her)?
Funny that Re-chan, of all people, would've gotten her hands on the most precious of resources.
