Isn't that "Strike Gundam variant" more looks like an Impulse variant base on its torso design?

It's one of those full circle things since the Build Burning itself is based on the Build Strike/Star Build Strike (which is the Strike with Freedom elements). Which mirrors the Impulse perfectly, since it itself was based on the Strike.... Which is something you do see clearly in Build Burning Design.

According to the model manual, the Build Burning Gundam was derived from both the God Gundam and the Star Build Strike/Build Strike Cosmos.
