操る　means to skillfully manipulate. (It doesn't look like it has the negative connotations that "manipulate" has in English.)

操ったって therefore means, "I said I manipulated/handled skillfully."

I went with "manipulate" because the standard translation approach to Remilia's power is "(enough) ability to manipulate fate".
