So second season, this trainee mech is still working and kicking!? And from the look of it, it is equipped with space equipment. Now, I am convinced Aldnoah Zero is meant for Sleipnir that have no Aldnoah drive or cheat power but with a hax pilot beating the crap out of Aldnoah equipped Mechs on weekly basis.
I doubt it's the same one as from the first season, probably just one of the same model. The first season showed several of the trainee mechs, so it's not like there was only one of them. The male lead also piloted at least two different trainers of the same model in the first season, and didn't seem particularly hesitant in destroying one to complete his objective.
