That explains her look. If anything would make someone look morbid and goth, it'd be that.

There's an episode in Eyeshield21 where they went training through the sea of trees.
They got stranded because the GPS is given to someone who destroys electronic devices on contact.

Surely other titles have done the training in mount Fuji too.

BTW, from Girls & Panzer, seems like JSDF army has a training ground near mount Fuji. Where would be the navy's ?

Yes... because I find Aokigahara sounds too positive in my ears, I tend avoid using it. Whereas 'jukai' sounds strangely ominous so I use it more often than not. For those who want to go see Aokigahara, it's actually a very beautiful place that is wonderful for a good hike. Just keep to the paths, if you leave them you will find the place strewn with garbage thrown away by various 'visitors on their last day' and may have the misfortune of stumbling on a dead body.

I find the worst of it though, is the living. There are people running around in the woods looting the dead bodies. They'll take wallets, watches, and so on laying about. Urg, I kind of regret ever visiting that place. Also I desperately wish I took a cricket bat with me to apply on that asshole looter I met there off the paths.

There's also the chance of meeting those who are still waffling about their 'final visit'. They tend to be a weird timid bunch who are both, 1. desperate for someone to talk to and 2. desperate for you to go away. Make sure you talk to them, and bring weird foreigners with you. They tend snap in 'must not be rude to the weird gaijin' mode and you can drag them along for a hike to the various sights in Aokigahara that are not related to death. It might even convince them not to do anything drastic.
