Well, that was interesting. That story proves that it's possible to make something about rape without having to draw genitals being shoved in holes and people rolling for vaginal circumference.

I'm glad it wasn't a H-doujin, though. Warugaki's style wouldn't fit hentai at all. A serious doujin involving rape is kind of out of his zone, though; hopefully the story is good and be soul-crushingly depressing once it's translated.

I'd have to disagree with you on that though; not to say that he is going to make one per-say but I could see him doing a very lighthearted, fluffy and sweet Vanilla. Something similar to his KogasaXFlan doujin that he made recently but taken up a notch.

That is to say though, that I couldn't see him doing a rape or NTR story....

After reading the translated pages I have to say that this story was pretty weird. Well, the reason for Keine might be quite cliché in such settings but it somehow it impact my mind. Especially her expressions in page 8 and 13 and the story in general.

I guess the way the guy acted really was a bit conflicting.

'On the condition that she give me her body, I will support her to the last'

Almost sounds like some kind of twisted wedding proposal.

I was simply continuing what was already worked on.
And to be honest, I don't like it. I don't like working on someone else works. The overall feel will just be different. Which is why I rather stick to one thing till it's done. Though I have myself to blame for not doing it sooner.
Seeing his translations also reminds me of how lousy and inflexible my English is. Gotta work more on that, so if anyone can spot anything that needs fix then please do.

If there's any part that you're confused with or find strange, can you tell me which one?
I was going back and forth while translating them because I kept understanding them differently after reading the whole thing. So I may have messed it up a bit.

As for the story, who knows. It could actually be a tragic one, if he did all those bad things to get rich for Keine, and died the way he wants it. Or he may turn out to be a sadistic person after all to make Keine suffer even more. Alas, we'll never know since he's dead.

Aww shucks. I'm sorry about not being able to translate it fully though. Also, your translations weren't lousy, in fact I think yours are better than mine since I don't have that much experience when it comes to translating.

I'm not blaming you for that so there's no need to apologize. There aren't that many translators around for Touhou here so any support is really appreciated. Though I do think it would be good if you try to finish it all the way for the things you'll work on in the future.
And I think it's not so much translating as it's the English comprehension. Also, you seem to have a knack with making stories. Just a hunch.
Compare the ones I translated in the Pixiv snip, and yours in the manga. I intentionally left that as a reminder for me.

If you mean the Touhou Sendai Story, then that's anything but mini. There are 52 chapters of those and still ongoing. The main focus of that is about the Sendai Hakurei Miko.
If you mean the Keine story, well, that's about it. It's a short-novel made by Paiman to answer a question(read page 1 and 2), and the man is probably his self-insert. He seems to like Keine very much. Warugaki adapted the whole story of it into the manga here. Nothing more to it.

Perhaps that man is only looking for comfort, yet he didn't know how to convey his feeling, or he think that he could toy with someone else's life with money in the start of he being wealthy.. Out of 4 marriage, all have failed and he didn't have a child.. Only Keine didn't quit, since she had a goal..

Maybe he felt thankful for Keine, and perhaps have some feelings, but once again is bad at conveying them.. Thus, he didn't break his promise and continued to support the school until the end.. Quite a sad story of a man (perhaps a twisted man) and a glimpse of how terrible money power could be.. He certainly still have some virtue of a real man, which is to hold onto his own word until the end..

That is what I wondered too. The villagers seem to know about the man's death and actions. Few pages before it is said that the villagers thought death was a good punishment for him and Keine inheriting his wealth was her right due to her horrible affair.

If Keine erasing the history of the man is true, perhaps Keine erased them as a form of gratitude, since the man really did fulfilled his promise to the end..

Still in conjunction with the theory above, perhaps Keine don't want the man to remain absolutely evil in the villagers memory, but dead man can't atone for himself.. Thus Keine erased his history, to make him at least not evil in the 'history' of the villagers..

My personal interpretation of this - based on the translation here - is that the man had some form of sadism fetish (meaning he requires sadism to be aroused) while honestly being a nice guy, due to how much he poured into Keine's livelihood. All knowledge we have of his past is thirdhand, but from personal experience people have trouble recognizing the potential divide between bedroom-specific and general behavior which would explain the four previous wives leaving him - after all, if he abuses them (even if only while having sex) then "he must be a bad person, right?"
This assumption would quickly become "known fact" as the rumor mill started up, with the flames only further fanned by other women "confirming" it. With "this man is bad" being an accepted fact at that point, of course people are going to then look at his wealth and start coming to conclusions about how he got it - you'll notice that the only knowledge was that he "did all sorts of bad things for the sake of becoming wealthy", they don't seem to have any consensus on what exactly he did that was bad.
Adding to what I noted earlier about people not recognizing divides between bedroom and general behavior, even Keine - who personally witnessed the divide between how he treated her in the bedroom and how he treated her everywhere else, even receiving his entire estate upon his death - was unable to reconcile those two sides of him and wound up just generally confused about why he did what he did.

Tl;dr: I think he did what he did because he loved her, and just had an unaccepted way of showing that love in the bedroom.
