Everytime I eat rice with butter it tastes awful. Is that some kind of japanese super butter?
It depends on the kind of rice. I personally prefer Jasmine Rice...it's so delicious even by itself, and so fragrant. You also need to have a good rice cooker. Cooking it stovetop is usually pretty tough to get it right. And no, that Uncle Ben's rice crap doesn't cut it. But I can use even artificial butter spreads like "I can't believe it's not Butter" and it still tastes excellent.

At one point not too long ago, Japan had a severe shortage of butter, causing it to become very expensive and rationed.Riiiiiice...And thanks to that, I can put loads of it in like this, too. ♪
