Well... At least they do not throw out their pets in middle of the forest, like some city folks do in Poland. Geez, we have now 3 cats, which have been abandoned. And we had one dog (after 2-3 years, she developed some kind of cancer, poor doggie). Sterilized, they clearly act like they lived in home... Geez.

It's not just Poland. Florida, for example, has had a problem with feral pythons that have been abandoned by irresponsible pet owners. If there are enough exotic snakes being abandoned to form a breeding population, I'm not sure I want to know how many traditional pets are being "released" into the wild.
