I couldn't agree more, that line is the best one. Even if she gains a star (could not modernize anymore by stat cap) I would enter the wiki just for hearing it again or raise another one with spare unneeded ships.

As someone who absolutely loathes KTKM's voice... even I think that's her best line.

Kitakami is one of those ships who even her sink lines are entertaining (she has a "Kiyoshimo complex").

I always keep changing her equipment so I can keep hearing that line.

The part when she says "Arigatone" is one of the main reasons why I love Kitakami-sama.

I have to ask though, why is the second line 'Shibireru nee', is translated as mesmerized?

I think because as 「痺れる」 (shibireru) means "to become numb" or "to receive an electric shock", he/she interpreted it as "mesmerized" to make the point more clear. It's not a literal "giving the chills/goose bumps" either.

Well, it is in dictionary. Just saying it but since there's no "I" or anything of the sort, I tried to put it as neutral as possible. Or maybe my interpretation is just plainly wrong? I don't know. That's why there are many other translators here.

Hmm... I mean, it is correct too. But, I don't think it is commonly used? Well, I don't mind though, since I get the meaning either way.

Here's the (online) J>E dictionary I use : しびれる (very useful for the sample sentences), and corresponding J>J entry 痺れる.
    .
It's being used in the 3rd type (2 in the J>E), a strong stimulus that causes one to be lost in the emotion; i.e. get carried away with; get lost in; be fascinated (to the point of non-response to other stimulus). Here, it would be mesmerizing, rather than mesmerized, if you were to use it. However, mesmerizing is usually used for outside stimulus, viz. a painting or music, rather than the feeling of equipped armaments, which is a personal, internal, feeling.

The 'I' (and 'equipment') is implied here - (この装備は私が)痺れるね, as it her equipment change line. (この装備に私が痺れるね would be if you were fascinated by, say, the sight of the equipment)

But it's late, so I could be wrong.

”...left me spellbound", "held me in its spell", "enthralled/entranced/captivated"?

Or well, let's go with a less literal translation and have Kitakami go "...it has a certain je ne sais quoi". Different literal meaning, yes, but I believe it's often used in a similar context (especially by people who don't really know French.)

Ah, yes, it's my fault on the grammar part. I'm too used to the "ed" end that I forgot it's supposed to be "ing" here. But you know, even if it's implied, I still don't think we are to translate it as it's implied because our interpretation on the subject might be wrong. And so, I always try to keep it neutral if it's possible. Not that I'm very good at it.
