    The problem is the long title, and neither dependable nor dependent reflects the "wants to be relied on" aspect. I suppose possessive is close enough, but it might cause confusion with the other pool.

    I can't get any way to shorten it, either. It's always 'Wants to be relied/depended/leaned/counted on.'

    It's not exactly a common enough construction for idioms (that are well-known) to arise.

    Similar things, like 'Wants to be his rock/anchor' or 'Wants to shoulder his burden' I think are a little too far removed.
