Huzzah! Is it time for a new operation

(inb4 trans) Looks like the Admiral said something outrageous. One moment Kongou's thinking happy thoughts, the next it looks like her turbines have spat blades.

I don't know how to translate this one since I didn't really play the game myself, but it seems like their next operation will involve a lot of destroyers, so Kongou thought she could sit back and relax for a bit, and then Reiji just threw a wrench into her plan.

Something like that. The next op (map 3-2) is a Destroyer Only map. You can't sortie anything else, at all, if you want to reach the boss to clear it. (You can send other stuff to the map, but will ALWAYS be routed away from the boss)

That said, due to a couple of game mechanics (namely, anything that CAN attack a submarine WILL attack a submarine, and all Light Cruisers and Destroyers can attack subs), the route for the "Wrong" fleet is a fantastic place to grind ships up in level (Especially heavy ships like Battleships and Carriers). Since the first battle on the "wrong" route is all Light Cruisers and Destroyers, so they always will attack a Submarine if it's present, shielding the other 5 ships from taking any damage at all. (And subs are cheap and quick to repair when damaged. Making 3-2 First Node grinding the prefered power level spot until MUCH later (map 5-4, which I still haven't unlocked))

If Reiji's planning to get some of his new ships up in level, Kongou will be working like a dog for a bit. (I can't read Moonrune, so I'm making a guess based on the fact that I recognize 3-2's name, and the game mechanics)

She's placed on 'Scouting' duty. And you know how Adm. Reiji treat his scouts.

Rest of the members are probably going to be the new girls (Nuinui, 'Bono, Poipoi, Tsundere Cloud, etc.)

Dunno why he's using a BB on a throwaway fleet. Maybe he wants them to level up or something while benefiting from the second shelling phase granted by Kongou (or any BB equivalent).

If he's levelling on 3-2 the second shell round means almost guaranteed enemy fleet wipe which means the torpedo salvo after the main battle phase won't hit his other ships.
( since ship-launched torpedo's can't hit and won't aim for submarines in kancolle. )
