    Pokemonster Hunter-Venusaur

    GET A POSTER OF THIS HERE

    Monster Hunter style Venusaur to go with my Charizard.  I figure he burrows into the forest floor to lure in unsuspecting hunters.  He also has spore pods on his arms that he can shake that randomly afflict hunters with poison, sleep, or paralysis statuses.  Now that Monster Hunter mainline titles seem to be Nintendo exclusives, it would be awesome to get some stuff like this.  I may do Blastoise and armors for these guys if you like them.

    As someone who has played Monster Hunter for some ~300 hours overall, Venusaur at first doesn't seem quite as threatening to me as Blastoise and Charizard does. At first glance, it looks like Venusaur's attacks would be limited to just making use of it's body weight and four limps, charging at the hunter and maybe doing some leaps too, but nothing more, and the charges wouldn't probably even be too fast either with that body structure. Charizard and Blastoise on the other hand seem like they'd be able to attack in a lot more different ways, seemingly being much more dangerous.

    Of course if this was actually canon Monster Hunter, in practice that wouldn't necessarily be the case. I'm guessing Venusaur would have some sort of status inducing pollen attacks, similar to that red mist from Molten Tigrex in MH4U. Venusaur seems to be able to burrow into the ground as shown in the picture, so there might be attacks relating to that too.

    Solarbeam spam on MH2 Island map anybody? Remember that there's a rather large rafflesia on the map with Kelbis and Congas? Reflecting said Solarbeam with Razor Leaf planted to the ground in same manner like Najarala? Summoning Vine Whips from underneath, pinning you like Webbed status? I don't think any monster design as 'easy peasy' to hunt before you actually downed their G-rank variant in sub 5 mins.
