According to some sites (Nintendo Life, Silicon Era) Ikamusume content is coming to Splatoon this August in Japan as free DLC. No word yet on a western release, but here's hoping!
since the Japanese version interacts with the rest of the world even if it doesn't officially come outside of japan they will have to update the entire game with the content unless they pull a sega and segregate the jp playerbase from the rest of the world ala PSO1/PSU
