A piroshki (пирожки) is a Russian stuffed bun. Types of filling include meat, potatoes, fish, jam, and cottage cheese. The bread is made from egg-glazed yeast dough. The Japanese version can contain meat, egg, noodles, spring onion, or curry; and is often covered in panko breading before frying.
