As in slang that used to be cool, but youngsters nowadays don't use it anymore, and saying it kind of show how old/outdated you are.

How old? Each decade or two has some. Also what context?

Oh god yes, there are so very many dead words, daddy-o! Radical, even!

Generally, '50-'60s slang is pretty well known, thanks to James Dean and his ilk, and '80-'90s slang is pretty well known thanks to TV, and it probably now old enough to mark someone using it with young people as out-of-touch.

Not much point in using Roaring '20s slang, it's too old.

I'll fix up this translation later when I can - my internet is being a piece of crap right now.

Not specific. Just curious because the joke is played in Japanese comics (like Ashigara here) but rarely saw it in English

The メロメロ（死語） part? Given that we'd probably be assuming that Ashigara is in her '30's... 80's slang would probably be best. I'll do a spot of research.

It appears there's a new translator who hasn't had much experience yet. I've seen a lot of it today that doesn't have any capitalization or formatting, and often no punctuation and lack of grammar.

We'll just have to wait for fixes while the translator try to fix their future translation~
