IIRC, during the first days of KanColle, the closed beta/pre-registration reward was getting Ooi as your starter ship, instead of the usual 5 destroyers.

I find it amusing to think that Admibro is one of those lucky people who cashed in that certain reward.

There's a Murakumo in silhouette in post #2080776, who seems to be female admiral's secretary ship. She's not Admibro's first command - it seems this Ooi will be - but she may have been the first ship-girl he met, and the first to succumb to his bro field.

I probably missed this at some point in the series here, but how did Ooi get forced into the contract? Just because she was the closest candidate around when the admiral did the summoning thing?

The admiral tried to contract himself with a shipgirl's spirit. However, since he wasn't viable material the spirit ran off and found a compatible host. She didn't actually do anything aside from have potential and be in the wrong place at the right time.

or that there could be 2 murakumos... unless the lezbo admiral transfers her murakumo to admibro's command once she turns suzuya into her current secretary ship
