Well. We've already had at least one story set with Optimus Prime (Convoy) as Admiral. One was more or less serious (Decepticons capturing both Shipgirls and Abyssal for their purposes) and one not so serious with Prime messing with Kongo and later Fubuki's head. Though Megatron as Abyssal Admiral with energon tea was grand (such loyal minions).

Isn't there a Transformer that takes the form of a battleship? It's probably three times as big as Optimus Prime.

I know there's a triple changer called Broadside who can transform into a aircraft carrier and a jet plane. Don't ask how that makes sense though.

There's Tidal Wave from Armada, who actually consists of 3 different seacraft, and then he was later reformed as Mirage.

Cybertron has Thunderblast, which is a shellformer like Fubuki on this image.
