If you don't look at it directly, it's fine. However, standing tiptoe on a wooden chair in socks probably isn't the smartest move here.

Besides the heat from the filaments and how that heated glass is really thin.

And that whole active electricity thing. Which is only really an issue if you stick something in the socket, but I happen to know people who thread lightbulbs like that.. generally just a good idea to turn off the light. As it stands, it looks like the light is coming from a bulb they aren't working on maybe?
