And in reality, that was the Admiral secretly meeting with the american command staff to negotiate the terms with which they can get an american battleship from their overstock.

I check someone is making a theory, that the US is busy in Europe in helping in another war. Perhaps they decided to help.

Actually according to one of the artist tweet about his headcanon, US are busy defending their own country. (From what I can translate)

Which makes vastly more sense the US is the only naval power on that entire land mass no one in South America has a fleet to speak of, Canada has a meager force beyond ASW assets. The USN would be the only force with heavy weight ships capable of defending the tens of thousands of mile of coastline in the Americas. What it could spare, particularly in terms of carriers, would also be much more urgently needed by a number of European powers France, Italy, and Germany chiefly having no real carrier fleets to speak of which is obviously unworkable. Only the USN and to a much lesser extent the RN would have the CVs to spare to prop up those forces and round them out.

Comparatively speaking aside from Britain Japan is easily the power that would need the LEAST assistance, it had a large balanced fleet that covered all aspects.

As for Britain, what is a good reason why they are not present in the Indian Ocean? Busy in the Atlantic Ocean against whatever it is there?

The guy is also made the same headcannon about it as well. He said that:
The USN Pacfic Fleet pull back to defend the Western side of the country after the Abssyal Forces attack and capture Pearl Harbor (aka Hawaii), leaving them a defensive stance as IJN fought the enemy alone until gaining foreign support. In his theory, the possibly why the US decided to send a blueprint of their powerful naval gun (and probably naval forces) is the IJN's streak of victories along with their daring reconissance/bombardment operation close to Pearl Harbor.

Also since that guy was playing Milihime Taisen, he added notes that Europe was battling the enemy on land itself, as he note that the Naval Battle in the Mediterrean and the Atlantic probably faring well.

I said 'too speak off' they have some ships but not many and most of them are old, and of course not so much as an escort carrier between them which is rather crippling for the WWII time frame.

As for Britain, what is a good reason why they are not present in the Indian Ocean? Busy in the Atlantic Ocean against whatever it is there?

Well perhaps geography for a start.

Assuming that ship girls require some level of basing infrastructure the Indian Ocean would be a rather far deployment for the modern RN to support long term, that's before we even get into the fact that the Abyss would have suddenly turned sea routes from 'unassailable' to 'the most dangerous way to travel'. The western reaches would be comparatively closer to Japan then Britain and might well simply be ceded to them to cover since they could reach them better and more easily. History has already shown that to be the case really.

Other commitments could be an issue too. I suspect that the combined Continental European fleet (augmented with RN and USN CVs) would handle protecting the intimidate European coast Germany in the North, Italy in the South, with France splitting to reinforce both (Russia likely focusing on the Casipin and far north with it's meager fleet). This would leave the RN as the primary 'expeditionary fleet' that would range out into the eastern Atlantic, the African coasts, and maybe most importantly the Arabian sea.

The oil must flow and RN forces are the obvious candidates to be stationed permanently in the gulf region to make sure it does. That would technically put them in the Indian ocean, but thousands and thousands of miles from anywhere Japanese ships are likely to operate. Much like how in history the RN maintained a (sometimes rather nominal) fleet in the Indian ocean the entire war really, yet outside of one raid very early on and a handful of incursions at the very end of the war the other way it never really had much contact with the Japanese at all. The Indian Ocean is big, but pretty damn empty and without there being much to fight over (or work together to protect) in the very middle of it both sides pretty much just sat on their front porches and glared at, or in this case politely nodded to each other across the street.

One suspects the standing order particularly in the Western Indian ocean would be "make damn sure the Arabian Sea stays open, everyone else can go fuck themselves". The RN also probably has the responsibility to cover the entire eastern Atlantic and do what it can to protect the African coasts though this is likely regarded as a fairly low priority strategically. For purely political and pride reasons it might also feel compelled to attempt to send something to Australia.

My own had Hawaii besieged, too big and reinforced to take, but isolated in a manner somewhat like Malta with allot of the fighting being constant runs to shove large convoys through the blockade attempting to starve out the island. Regardless if the enemy is fielding fleets so massive it can overrun Hawaii it's rather likely that any 'defensive stance' is more like a constant battle against swarms of enemy ships then any sort of inactivity.

That makes sense too though the USN after all ended up VASTLY larger the IJN so if the Abyss has any sense it would be sending far more of it's total forces at the USN then it would Japan. Having the USN ships regard the Japanese battles as a sideshow compared to the clash of titans occurring in the Eastern Pacific would actually make for an interesting contrast to what you usually see. Sort of like yeah the battle in Western Europe wasn't small, but it still paled compared to what was occurring in Russia and yet the former still got most of the press in the west.
