These dictionary-like entries at the bottom are hilarious, and pretty damn well-done for a Japanese person. I disagree that they're Engrish, since the English makes just as little/much sense as the Japanese, and I'd dare anyone to write a better translation.

I won't say it's a translation, but how about "He opened the book to the first page and immedately jumped back upon seeing the illustration therein."

Kind of paints a different picture tho, like the illustration was of the same guy reading a book, and an axe murderer sneaking up on him from behind. I know that's freak me out.
