And then itty bits of sticky leftover remains on the cover as a reminder of how you failed to cleanly remove the price tag.

And every single time you move your finger on the spot, you will feel the sticky reminder for as long as the book remains.

Gotta slowly roll it off.

Or you rip the tag off but some of the glue sticks and becomes part of the cover.

Thankfully, a lot of used doujin come re-packed into plastic meaning that this isn't a major issue! Other than that, there are nice goo removers that you can use. Or just roll some blu-tack over it - as long as the cover is glossy, it's not too bad.

That didn't look like the gloss cover on Muppo's books, there. At least she only tore one corner, so she can get the rest off.

you can try to use masking tape to remove the residue.
