Always double check. My only beef with chargers and plugs is that some of them are stupidly bulky. Bulky enough that you have to place them at the edge. Sometimes, just placing them on an extension will take up two spaces.
Got a nifty power strip that's just equi-spaced holes, it dosen't matter which two you plug something into. No more problems with power bricks.
I'd honestly rather that electronic manufacterers just place the power brick away from the actual wall outlet plug. Put the brick part in the center of the cord or at least 3 inches away from the end and I'll call it even. Don't combine the power brick in the actual wall plug itself.
Look at a Super Nintendo power brick vs an Xbox. Xbox had a huge ass power brick but at least it was in the center so the the pronged part was just a normal sized wall plug.
Carrying along Tetsamaru's comment, another reason as to why I do not like plug/brick hybrid is that they generate quite amount of heat when used over time. It's okay when the brick is singular. But when there are multiple bricks around, the amount of heat they produce makes me worry.
