Something feels just a little off with this picture. It's as though Akatsuki was added late to the picture, or was moved from a different spot in it, altogether. The artist probably should've used the space just under Hibiki's chin to show Akatsuki has legs, or at least a bottom half.

It could take place some point after 13 November 1942 (Sinking of Akatsuki), if you want to take a dark spin on it, because she was the first to sink of everyone present in this image. Probably not what the artist intended, but seeing her as a ghost does help reconcile the above mentioned error.
