Kunashiri is of course, that recently implemented kaibokan. She references Kamikaze in her lines quite a bit.

ScrappedKamikaze, who survived the war, served as a repatriation ship for military personnel returning home. While attempting to rescue the coastal defense ship Kunashiri who had run aground, Kamikaze herself ran aground and suffered heavy damage as well. Her career ended on the shores of Omaezaki, Shizuoka Prefecture.
