Sometimes it's pleasant to help people with computers, and sometimes it's not.

One of my high school teachers let me keep the by-our-standards ancient gyroscopic mouse I found in the tech storage room. Meant for giving presentations before laser pointers existed for people too posh for a long stick, it has a belt transmitter like wireless microphones these days and one of those long curly stretchy cords. Not that this is actually related to anything other than "it's a mouse you wave in the air," but...

EDIT: Decided to drag it out of the closet for old time's sake. It's from an era when everything had part numbers, so the mouse is a GyroPoint GP7620 with a GP7500 transmitter/receiver set which looks like it connects either by PS/2 or an adapter with a wall power supply to serial. It even still had some of the lab's NiMH AA/HR6 batteries in it (under a label stating to only use lithium Energizer L91BP-2 batteries, of course). Unfortunately even the internet doesn't seem to have any info besides possible places to buy parts.

I remember seeing those in Frys years ago. Those things are pretty expensive if I recal. Pretty cool too. I kind of wish I bought one just to see what it would be like to try and play mechwarrior or something with it.

We have the pool for motherly Houshou images but do we have any pool or tag for image where Houshou is depicted as being out of touch with current day stuff? Images like this are adorable.

Maybe make an "Out of touch Houshou" pool?

... Houshou, you do know you can just lift the mouse and move it leftwards in the air then put it back on the table and start scrolling further right again, right?

I mean, I'm right at the limit of the 'mowse' cable's length...
I would quite like to move the 'curr-sah' further right, but I cannot move the 'mowse' any further.
    What?
    What.
Houshou-san, what in the world are you up to?
